Idolish7 Anime gets a release date!

It's finally here!

Just soon after passing its 2nd anniversary mark, idol music game franchise Idolish7 has finally announced that its anime series will start January 2018.

Having started as a 2D idol rhythm mobile game, Idolish7 (or Ainana) has only recently announced that an anime adaptation has been in the works by company TROYCA（トロイカ）.

At the 2nd in a series of fan events held today "Idolish7 Fan Kanshasai vol. 2 Kimi to motto Ai wo Kataranai to!~" (アイドリッシュセブン ファン感謝祭 vol.2 ～キミともっと愛を語らないと！～), a flurry of announcements were made regarding the upcoming anime series and other releases. Some of the important details include:

1. Anime key visuals revealed! + anime preview

As a fan and follower of the original game, just couldn't help but feel a strong gush of emotions when Monster Generation starting playing the background. Seeing the characters move and talk is almost akin to seeing them finally being brought to life! No, I'm not crying (yet)... maybe when TRIGGER appears...

....aaaand Tsumugu finally has a CV! Satou Satomi will be lending her voice to this central character in this series, who also happens to be the manager of Idolish7.

2. Premiere screening event on 2nd Nov 2017

No details as of now, but it seems like the first 2 episodes of the anime will be screened at an event end of this year. We can likely look forward to a few cast members gracing the event, so keep your eyes peeled!

The official twitter account is also buzzing with activity after the fan event, filled with group shots of the cast who attended, namely Masuda Toshiki (Izumi Iori), Shirai Yuusuke (Nikaido Yamato), Yonaga Tsubasa (Izumi Mitsuki), Eguchi Takuya (Rokuya Nagi) and Hatano Wataru (Yaotome Gaku).
